The role will require a mix of shifts to be worked which include 7am to 2.30pm and 2.15pm to 9:45pm and alternate weekends.

Salary – £9.25 per hour

Where will you be working?

You will be working at our newest purpose-built service, ‘The Burrows’ in Droitwich. The Burrows contains 8 individual apartments and will be home to 8 Autistic males. We are a provider that places the person we support at the centre of what we do as well as value and utilise the skills and talents of our support staff.

This position involves working as part of a team with a colleague to support a young adult who requires 2:1 support at all times and has very specific communication needs. The successful candidate will feel passionate about working with individuals who have behavioural support needs and demonstrate a positive regard for the individuals you are working with.

Do I need previous experience?

Autism West Midlands are looking for dedicated and motivated individuals that share the same passion, supportive nature, and willingness to take the time to understand others as we do. Experience of working with individuals with challenging behaviour is an advantage.

Essential:

· Commitment & Reliability

· Able to work on a rota basis

Desirable:

· NVQ Level 2 in Care or Promoting Independence (or equivalent) If not, the willingness to work towards it.

· Experience supporting individuals with behaviours that can be challenging

· Hold a full UK driving license
