Autism Awareness

Our Autism Awareness training has been specially adapted to the new requirements under the Autism Act and Statutory Guidance. It is a sharply-focused seminar, tailored to your needs.

This training programme is a cost-effective introduction to autism, giving key strategies for you and your staff. Full training materials are provided.

Our training will help you:

• Recognise that someone has autism
• Understand what autism means
• Recognise how people with autism view the world and process information
• Understand how to minimise the anxiety of the person with autism
• Learn practical, specific strategies to use in dealing with someone with autism, at work or elsewhere

Course aims

To explore the autism spectrum and cover the following areas:

Information: An introduction to autism.

Impact: Learn how to recognise that someone has autism. Understand how a person with autism sees the world, and how this might affect you in your professional or personal life.

Intervention: Participants will be able to understand better why people with autism may behave differently, and will gain practical knowledge of strategies to enable them be more effective in working with people with autism.

Training methods

The course will make use of use presentation, multimedia, interactive discussion and toolkits.

• One day / half day

Cost

• £525 for up to 30 delegates at your venue

• £450 for a half day

We do not charge VAT so there are no hidden costs.
